Research Interest
My research is centered on constructing a host-vector system and developing an ARS (Autonomous replicating sequence) element containing secretion vector in eukaryotes. In order to investigate this system, some short and functional ARS elements are isolated from eukaroytic genomes, and an auxotrophic mutant strain is selected by EMS (Ethylmethane sulfonate) treatment . The constructed ARS-containing genomic libraries are transformed into the mutant strain to complete a functional host-vector system. At present, I am more interested in the mechanisms of tumor metastasis and microbial infection. Experiments in these area are in progress the mechanisms of tumor metastasis and microbial infection.
